• The International Association for Applied Economics (ASEPELT), includes more than 50 Universities worldwide. 

• The Association is a non profit organization that brings together researchers, professors, practitioners, and institutions interested in promoting academic research and scientific activities.

• The main goals of ASEPELT are to organize and promote value added scientific research papers in applied economic fields, to contribute to improve, develop and integrate different traditional scientific approaches in the Economic Science analysis, in order to share different methodologies. Through a practical approach, it aims to identify real problems and search for solutions. 

• Among its duties, it is important to mention its capacity to strengthen international academic relationships, diffuse and publish academic papers in the applied economic field (as an example, its main scientific publication called “Studies of Applied Economics Journal” is one of the oldest and most prestigious within its category). Another important activity is the organization of an annual International Academic Congress.
